Zion Bishan Action Groups
“… that the members should have the same care one for another.”
1 Cor 12:25b
"And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another, and so much the more, as ye see the day [of Judgement] approaching."
Hebrew 10:24 & 25
The Church first met in small groups in the humble homes of believers. It was, by necessity, decentralized, dynamic and family-oriented. From the heart-warming description given in Acts 2:41-47 there was powerful preaching, together with faithful adherence to sound doctrine as taught by the Apostles, joy in receiving God’s Word, sharing of God’s material blessings, and many other things that left an indelible mark on the infant Church.
Today we at Zion Bible-Presbyterian Church recognize the immense value that small groups can bring to the spiritual life of the membership. The “Action Groups” form an integral part of Zion’s strategy to ensure that members receive spiritual nurture and care in the context of a warm, vibrant, and caring community.
